The Mohegans - Provisional Camping 2026

Attend With Your Troop

Most Scouts will attend summer camp with their troop. Contact your Unit Leader for details about when your troop is planning to attend Treasure Valley this summer. When attending with your troop, the troop will handle the processing of all reservations and payments.

No Troop…No Problem!

The scouting program is unit based, and therefore here at Treasure Valley we seek to provide every scout with a quality unit experience, regardless of whether they are attending camp with or without their own unit.

The Mohegans is an experience offered by the reservation in order to accomplish this goal. The Mohegans is a unit of exclusively provisional scouts that accept any scout, for any week, from any unit. Accompanied throughout the week by senior staff members and led by its own youth. The Mohegans seek to create a cohesive unit of scouts and allow them to create new bonds and friendships while still enjoying all the wonders that Treasure Valley has to offer. After the week is over you might think they’ve been together for the whole summer.

Scouts have different reasons for attending camp as a provisional. Whether they were unable to attend camp with their troop, are looking to participate in one of our wonderful specialty programs or just want to come back for another week of camp, every scout is encouraged to join the Mohegans for a spectacular week of camp!

Check-In

Provisional campers arrive at camp on Sunday afternoon. They will meet their Provisional Scoutmaster who will help campers load gear into a camp vehicle. Gear will be transported to the campsite once everyone has arrived.

Volunteer Provo Scoutmasters

If you are a registered, adult volunteer and are over 21, consider volunteering a week for a week in the woods and help guide our provo scout troop. There is no cost to attend for the week and your scout can attend for free as well. For more information please email Jay Gormley at director@tvsrscouting.org.
