Can’t go with your Troop or want extra weeks of camp?
No Problem!
Scouts who cannot attend camp with their own troop, or wish to attend for additional weeks, may attend as part of our camps’ provisional troops. The provisional troop is made up of Scouts from across Heart of New England Council, New England and beyond. What Scouts Get Out of Heart of New England Camps
Scouts attending either camp will select 3-5 merit badges to be earned at camp. Our camp staffs receive rigorous training on merit badge instruction and will work closely with each Scout to ensure they receive the highest quality skill instruction possible.
Throughout your week, there are opportunities to earn additional merit badges. For more information about merit badges at camp, visit the Treasure Valley and Camp Wanocksett leaders’ guides.
At Heart of New England Council, we pride ourselves on our top-quality program delivered by our two camp staffs. Trained each summer by a dedicated team of camp administrators, our camp staffs strive to set the standard for professionalism, customer service, attention to detail, safety, and merit badge instruction.
Our camp staffs are what make our camps special. Get in touch with our camp team to learn more about our staff.
Both Camp Wanocksett and Treasure Valley offer safe and exciting programs for Scouts of all rank and age. Both properties feature climbing features and high-ropes courses. At Treasure Valley, explore the Vocational Tech area to learn welding, metalworking, or automative maintenance. At Camp Wanocksett’s waterfront, try waterskiing, small-boat sailing, or tubing.
Both of our council’s camps provide Scouts and leaders with 3 high-quality, nutritious meals each day. Our dining services crew is lead by professional chefs who ensure each meal is served fresh and safely, while no guest leaves the dining area with an empty belly.
Our camp staffs make it their mission to provide Scouts and leaders alike with a summer camp experience like no other. We are committed to making your Scout’s week at camp a memorable one, and will work to ensure every visitor has the time of their life.

Our council provides two best-in-class summer programs that help Scouts grow in leadership, character, and skills.
Our summer camp programs at Treasure Valley and Camp Wanocksett give youth the chance to learn independence, build friendships, and experience the outdoors — all in support of Scouting America’s mission to prepare young people for life.
