Position Overview
The Membership Growth Executive is responsible for driving significant growth in both new and retained youth and adult members, increasing engagement in our organization’s programs, and expanding the number of active Scouting units within our service area. Performance metrics include a minimum of 15 new groups/units and 400 new members recruited per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and engage underserved communities within our territory.
- Work with staff and volunteers to identify potential partners and sponsors in these communities to expand the organization’s reach.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with major partners and sponsors.
- Collaborate with existing committees to develop unit structure, assign leadership roles, assist with program planning and budgeting, and develop membership retention strategies.
- Provide training opportunities to volunteers and partners to maximize effectiveness.
- Establish partnerships with school districts and other youth-serving or community organizations to drive membership and client growth.
- Engage with local businesses, government, and faith leaders to support program expansion and community involvement.
- Promote participation in organizational fundraising efforts (such as product sales and annual giving campaigns).
- Support high-quality district-level programs to ensure effective onboarding and long-term retention of members.
- Achieve annual retention goals of 65% or higher for youth membership and over 90% for unit retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales, relationship development, marketing, relationship management, or membership growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal oriented.
- Demonstrated passion for youth development or community engagement is a plus.
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of the specified education and experience requirements may be considered.
